Sorcery and art: As I mentioned in our title, I would like to underline the phrase ” sorcery and art in the known history of humanity … ” because sorcery and art, especially the history of sorcery, is not known when it started, but many experts say that magic is an old practice even from the history of humanity. .
But in order to explain its relevance to art, I thought this article was a good start, so I wanted to convey it to you.

In the beginning, man, who was not very successful in his war against nature, was submissive to nature. He was afraid of them, thinking that every object in nature has a soul, even that they can speak.
Sorcery :The fight against the forces of nature.
Human beings, who are totally ignorant and helpless against the forces of nature, started to resort to magic power over time. they entered the struggle to defend themselves and survive against nature through magic. Influencing nature resorted to magic to control it.
hunting animals.
Paintings or sculptures were made on the walls for easy hunting and summoning of animals. So they thought it would make it easier to hunt by magic. Again for the same purpose, they performed various dances and even wore some of these animals’ limbs on them. Thus, they were engaged in primitive artistic activities with line, dance and word.
It has nothing to do with today’s understanding of art.
Undoubtedly, this was not an art in the modern sense as we understand it today and it lacked aesthetic values. It was just a means of casting spells.
A necessary weapon for living: sorcery and art
According to Ernest Fischer: from the very beginning of humanity, art had no close relationship with beauty and aesthetics; “art was just a kind of weapon that human beings were obliged to use to survive.”
Art was a tool of sorcery and helped man achieve success in his fight against nature. Besides, it was a fact that it contributed to the development of social relations. However, it would be incomplete and wrong to explain the beginning of art with this situation.
Fisher said that the effects of some shimmering things, light, bright colors, precious stones, fragrances, sexual attractiveness, and the pleasure taken in the repetition of certain rhythmic movements may also have important contributions in this.
